Challenge

  • Drozda implemented the SMSEagle hardware SMS/MMS gateway, enabling direct SMS delivery to drivers via GSM/3G/4G networks across Europe, independent of internet connectivity.

  • The gateway integrated smoothly with the “Speed” fleet management system through the SMSEagle API, allowing automated route updates, hazard alerts, delivery reminders, and maintenance notifications.

  • Messages sent from Speed were converted into SMS and delivered instantly, while inbound replies from drivers were automatically routed to the appropriate internal teams.

  • The system provided full flexibility in choosing mobile operators, allowing Drozda to optimize costs and avoid the per-message fees associated with cloud-based SMS services.

  • The deployment required no driver training and was completed quickly, without operational disruption.
