Start by finding what is connected
After attaching an external probe, click Scan for new sensors in Monitoring > Temp & Humidity > Sensor settings, and SMSEagle detects it automatically.
See straight away where the problem is
Rename a generic sensor ID to something like ‘Server Room A’, so every alert is instantly clear.
Reading frequency and units
Configure how sensors are read, whether from the built-in sensor or an external 1-Wire probe.
Define exactly when to alert
Set a temperature or humidity threshold (higher than or lower than) that should trigger an SMS, and write the message that gets sent.
Review the full history
Look back at temperature and humidity trends over time, not just the moment an alert fired.
