Today is the day! SMSEagle 7.0 is now available. The release introduces a completely redesigned user experience with improved navigation, streamlined workflows, and a more intuitive way to manage communications. Discover what has changed and what early users think about the update.
While SMSEagle has continuously evolved over the years, this release focuses on something every user interacts with daily: the experience of working with the platform. The result is a modernized interface that makes everyday tasks faster, navigation more intuitive, and access to key functions easier than ever before.
"For years our user interface was the part that came with the hardware. The gateway was the product. The software was what you used to set it up. At some point that stopped being true. What we had was a communication platform: SMS, voice, WhatsApp, Signal, email, automations, monitoring, reporting. It deserved to be treated as one. So we spent months rebuilding it. Concept, branding, design system, information architecture, frontend. The visual design was the easy part. The work was making sure every function built over a decade found its place in a structure designed from scratch. A different look was never the goal. The goal was a system that is easier to operate, easier to read, consistent and fast. What that means in practice: navigation organised into eight areas that match what people actually do, Compose as a global button that opens from any screen, side panels and drawers instead of jumping between pages, and views that load without full page reloads. New users get a shorter onboarding. Customers who have run SMSEagle for years get the same device, the same integrations, and a system that stays out of their way. And we get a foundation for the next few years of the product. I can't wait for release day and for the first reactions from the people who use SMSEagle every day."

A lot of relevant information is presented directly on the home page, giving the user a useful overview without requiring unnecessary navigation through multiple menus. At the same time, the Jump function provides a fast way to access a specific feature when the user already knows what they are looking for. Overall, the GUI strikes a good balance between presenting enough information upfront and keeping navigation quick and efficient."
Messages, Phonebook, Automation, Reports, Monitoring, Settings, and System tools are now organized into clear, task-oriented sections. Every function is available within 2-3 clicks from the home screen, making everyday work faster and reducing the learning curve for new users.
SMS, Email, WhatsApp, and Signal messages are now presented in a conversation-style view. Users can see the full communication history in one place, reply directly from the thread, and use message templates without switching between multiple screens.
The new global Compose button lets users start a message from any screen in the system. There is no need to leave the current view or switch between pages just to send a message.
The redesigned dashboard provides instant visibility into device status, communication statistics, activity trends, and monitoring information from a single place.
