How to send Emails to WhatsApp on SMSEagle

Step 1: Log in to SMSEagle

Open your web browser and log in to your SMSEagle web interface using your admin credentials. 

Step 2. Open the Workflows Section

  • From the left-hand menu, click Workflows.
  • In the top-right corner of the Workflows page, click + Add new workflow.

Step 3. Define Workflow Name and Trigger

  • In the Workflow Builder, enter a name for your workflow — for example, Email to WhatsApp.
  • In the Trigger dropdown, select Email.

    This means the workflow will start when an incoming email is received.

Step 4. Add a Condition

  • In the Condition Groups section, set the parameters that define when this workflow should run.
  • Under Condition 1:
    • Property: select Sender or Content
    • Operator: select
      • AND – all conditions must be met
      • OR – at least one condition must be met
      • NOT – a negative condition
      • REGEX – match using a regular expression (for advanced users)
    • Value: set desired (this ensures all incoming WhatsApp messages trigger the action).

Step 5. Add an Action

    • In the Actions section, click + Add first action.
    • From the Action Type dropdown, select WhatsApp.
    • Configure the action:
      • Phone Numbers: Enter the recipient’s number (e.g., +1234567890) and click Add.
      • Or, select from Phonebook Contacts or Phonebook Groups.
      • Content Template: Enter your message text — for example, Test.
        You can use placeholders such as:
        • {{sender}} – email sender
        • {{recipient}} – recipient
        • {{subject}} – email subject
        • {{content}} – email body
      • (Optional) Check Include Attachments if you want to forward email attachments to WhatsApp.

Step 6. Save the Workflow

  • Review your configuration.
  • Click Save at the bottom of the Workflow Builder window.
  • Your new Email to WhatsApp workflow will now appear in the list on the Workflows page.
